About Robert Scott
Robert Scott is probably best known for making mops. Half a million of them every week to create a staggering 23 million a year. That’s more mops than any other manufacturer in the UK, but we're so much more than just that!
We’re also one of the largest designers, manufacturers, importers and stockists of cleaning products for the UK's professional janitorial market. We value quality at the right price, stock when you need it and, above all, excellent customer service.
What we do
We design, manufacture and distribute products that help make cleaning workplaces easier. We stock more lines, in greater volume, than any of our competitors so you can always be sure that when it comes to any aspect of supplying cleaning equipment, you can rely on Robert Scott to have it covered.
Our products
We’re proud to offer the largest available range of products from any UK cleaning manufacturer. It’s designed to keep pace with the latest cleaning and hygiene innovations, regulations and rigors of the professional janitorial sector. And, this includes everything from microfibre cloths and cleaning trolleys, to rapid response cleaning systems, and mops, all manufactured here in Lancashire or sourced from around the world.
Sustainability
It’s increasingly important we reduce any impact on the planet - by using less chemicals, plastic and energy, and by sourcing and using greener materials that offer excellent performance with a lower environmental impact.
That’s why our mission is to help make the world’s workplaces easier to clean - with better and better products that don’t cost the earth.
But it’s more than that.
It’s also making sure Robert Scott has a positive impact on the communities we work with. And that’s something we have been doing since Robert Scott’s father, James Scott, established the family run business back in 1925.
A lot’s happened since then of course, but here we focus on recent years and our efforts to become a more sustainable business.
Our community
As well as directly employing local residents across its mills, distribution centers and head office, the company is committed to reinvesting in the community it has been a part of for many years. We sponsor local teams, clubs and events to help support at a grass roots level.
Bright Futures School for autistic children
Closer to home, the company built a new independent school for children with Autism after the school’s founder, Zoe Thompson, found out their current premises was due to be sold in 2018. Robert Scott funded the build for Bright Futures School and has been helped by various local suppliers to design the new facility on vacant land opposite its head office in Greenfield.
